Abbey Johnson

Abbey is a mechanical engineering student who loves building and refining real-world systems. As suspension and chassis lead on Elon's Formula SAE electric race car team, they focus on ergonomic design, fabrication, and system integration. Abbey also works in Elon's prototyping lab and is currently researching magnetic actuation and material behavior. Passionate about hands-on, iterative problem-solving, they hope to pursue a career in advanced mechanical systems or aerospace, and eventually run their own machine shop. Outside of engineering, Abbey enjoys playing instruments and writing original music.
