Kate Delson, a Team USA Paralympic snowboarder who won gold and silver at the 2026 Milano Cortina Paralympics, shared her journey with adaptive sports, emphasizing how accessible adaptive equipment—especially from her mechanical engineer father who is a professor at UCSD—has been crucial to her success, and encouraged the fellows to connect with adaptive sports organizations to help create innovative solutions for athletes with disabilities. We also heard from each campus about what they have been able to achieve this year.
