Shoshana Distenfeld

Shoshana is a junior studying bioengineering at the University of Maryland. She is also in a UMD interdisciplinary business and engineering program, engaging in experiential, hands-on team projects. Equipped with skills from both disciplines and a desire to better the world around her, Shoshana is excited to start her second year in the TOM fellowship and continue expanding the TOM community at Maryland. This past summer she interned with TOM's Research & Development team in their Tel Aviv office, and she can't wait to apply the knowledge and experience gained from working in such an established TOM community to her own campus.
